McD interviewed after presser. Here is a brief.

1. Really happy with TC signing. Checks a lot of boxes for Suns. Training staff was a help in recruiting.
2. Encouraged at the respect the Suns are getting around the league from players. Made a veiled reference to the Dragic situation as a concern but it does not seem to be hurting now.
3. The players who are not here are not here by choice. Said they would have made the Detroit trade regardless of the LMA situation.
4. Markieff is not happy. Raw. But said he thinks this move will be good for them both personally and professionally in the long term. Said Marcus as a chance to start in Detroit.
5. Plans on Keef being with the team this year. Considers him on of the team's best players.
6. Not done. Still intend on being aggressive with trades and cap space.

But if Len has developed a decent mid-range game it would be great having two legit 7'1 guys on the floor. Both which can defend really well. BC's wet dream.

Can't see Len being able to do, but a healthy Chandler can probably do it in spurts. But on offense, Len will prob need to be able to stick a jumper with decent regularity so spacing isn't a mess on that side of the ball.

I am not sure why Len couldn't. He has good mobility and because of his length he can surrender space and still hinder a shot.

If it is a question of them covering an opposing PF as effectively as Markeiff the answer is almost certainly yes. If the opps trot out a stretch 4, we probably want to counter with Teletovic - assuming he's relatively healthy. If they go small, they're playing into our hands.

I think the real question is can Len and Chandler play more than 48 minutes combined. Of course, Jeff is going to try small ball but its not unlikely that he'll want to keep one of our two centers on the floor even then. (If we're trying to make up ground I could see him going with Weems, Tucker and Teletovic as the frontcourt for more firepower. Incidentally, I think they picked up Weems specifically to play SF in small lineups.) I like the idea of playing Len and Chandler together but I imagine it will only be used to protect leads at the end of close games.

Assuming Teletovic is healthy and shooting well, I'd like to see him playing some at small forward - he is one tough cover when he's on. He doesn't mind retreating 3 or 4 feet behind the arc to launch a shot and he shoots quick.

It would be an interesting look. 2 rim protectors and three shooters on the outside.

Having the ability to play twin towers would indeed make us more powerful.

But not as a matter of routine. They are both Centers.

So, call it a damp dream rather than a wet dream.

Chandler has slowed a bit and Len when I watch him he just doesn't seem capable of staying with more athletic and quicker Power Forwards. I just don't see them both on the floor at the same time as a regular strategy versus in spurts.

Could make an interesting 3-2 zone with 2 rim protectors and 3 perimeter defenders. It would force the opposition into shooting mid-range jumpers which are not nearly as efficient.

I am convinced a 3-2 would be most effective against the new NBA offenses.
