The problem
No offense to Ike Diogu who is an unbelievable player, but if the seaosn ended right now Stoudamire would be pac-10 POY. Great game in Tucson, the one in Seattle should be just as hard-fought and epic. The difference between these two teams and the rest of the conference is very, very big.

First off notice where I said "if the season ended right now." Second, I have repeatedly said on this board that Ike is the best player in the conference.Card Trader said:
However, in Pac-10 play (which is what Pac-10 POY voters look at) Salim has essentially carried his team to the top of the conference. Ike has carried ASU somewhere in the middle. It would be a close, but as of right now Salim would carry the vote simply due to each's comparable play but Salim's team rank in the standings.

Follow it up with a heartless loss against WSU. I pegged the Cats to lose against Dick Bennett once this year, but I figured it would be on the road. Cats had the inside track to the Pac-10 title and possibly a #1 seed in the West but now it's all up in the air.

The problem
Rumors out of Tucson is some members of the team got after it a little too hard last night and that Rodgers was suspended for mouthing off to the coaches. That's some terrific veteran leadership.
Having Rodgers certainly would have helped against that Kelati guy who was killing it, but I doubt the outcome would have been any different. UA came out flat while Wazzu was amped not to mention Lute again was outcoached by Dick Bennett.
