What a great win for Neuheisel and the Pac 10. The Bruins showed they were every bit as physical as the SEC team. And, the way that Craft forgot about his horrendous first half and played great in the 2nd was about as gutsy as it gets. Both teams put together great, clutch, 2 minute drives to force the game into OT.

After a weekend of ho-hum games, I feel like college football is really back now!

Totally agree... GREAT game! I am a SEC guy, but HATE Tenn. Very happy to see a PAC-10 team smack them in the mouth... And, I know Neuheisel has his detractors, but I was glad to see him come back to the game in this fashion!

PAC-10 is underrated back east and south. SECitis reigns supreme. I love to see SEC teams lose. Wonderful game. Watched every minute.

The SEC has a lot of talent but they get more publicity than any other conference in the nation. I love to see their teams lose to Pac 10 school!

Yep. You know once NFL draft talk hits with it's full force, that we'll hear "the Pac 10 is soft and doesn't play defense" as a reason to knock down a prospect. This will be a good game to bring up. The Bruins went toe-to-toe with them, and matched up well.

If you intercept a QB 4 times in one half and only allow 29 yds rushing and you lose there are some serious problems with your football team.

Being in TN and hearing non-stop SEC crap I am glad they lost to a lower tier PAC 10 team.

To me it was a perfect example save one possession of why UCLA's coaching staff is so good. They took a team missing it's 2 best QB's, starting TE, best WR, best RB(and was already missing 2 starters on the OL) and they beat UT with it because of Chow's coaching on offense and Walker on defense.

They each blew one series, Chow right before half letting Craft throw and he gets picked for a TD, Walker late in the game he started 3 man rushing on one series and UT went right down the field and scored.

Other than that UCLA basically won because it's coaches put the kids in position to make plays, in particular the offense under Chow was brilliant.

Refreshing to see " real " games early in the season. USC going to Virginia and Tennesse going to UCLA adds credibility to scheduling.

Damn, Wally. I'm with you on this. My ASU played NAU, an in-state opponent from decidedly a overmatched minor conference. And my Irish have intentionally softened up their schedule to play more easy games, this year opening with San Diego St. Embarrassing.

Don't like it one bit. Gone are the days when a young Bobby Bowden and FSU's road warriors played powerhouse after powerhouse, on the road, building his program and reputation.

At least Carroll and Fulmer have gonads.

USC doubters point out that Caroll scheduled Virginia after they won only 5 games 2 years ago, not after winning 9 this year. UVA didn't look very good but that's because USC looked VERY good if not great.

Too bad it looks like Wells won't be 100% the TOSU/USC game on the 13th would have been a really great early season game. I suppose it still could we've all seen a team play over their heads to make up for a lost star but I think TOSU's best chance against SC was to run the ball and they needed Wells for that to happen.

That's one thing you can't blame Carroll for he's pretty consistently scheduled tough games early in the season out of conference.
