Big card tomorrow night!
Arlovski is such a great, skilled, hybrid fighter/athlete that he should again make light work of Tim Sylvia, who is a great striker and is as tough as they come even if he is awkward.
I love Forrest Griffin, but I just don't think he is yet in Tito Ortiz's league. I can't stand Ortiz, but he's an animal and has great conditioning.
Nick Diaz should be able to keep the powerful Sean Sherk away from him as he has about a 6" reach advantage. Even if it goes to the ground, Diaz is a better BJJ fighter than Sherk is a wrestler. Diaz is limber and dexterous whereas Sherk is stout and stiff. Advantage Diaz.
I am also looking forward to the Karo Parysian fight against Nick Thompson. I more and more enjoy Karo's fights every time I watch them. He is a moderately good fighter from his feet, but he is excellent on the ground. He's young and improving, so I predict he'll continue his rise to prominence against an unknown Thompson.
Evan Tanner is also one of my favorite fighters to watch. I think he has lost 2 straight fights (L'oiseau and Franklin) and I don't think he'll lose a third. The guys he lost to are a champion-caliber fighter (L'oiseau) and the actual champion (Franklin) and he was outmatched both times. So, it looks like it's back to the bottom of the heap for Tanner as he will quickly dispatch of an even lesser known fighter in Justin Levens. I look for this to be a statement fight for Tanner. I think he'll be better prepared for this unknown fighter than he was for his belt defense loss to Franklin.
Other picks:
Thiago Alves beats Derrick Noble
Jason Lambert beats Terry Martin
David Terrell beats Scott Smith
Jeff Monson beats Marcio Cruz
Watch this fight, OR DIE!!!!
