Randy Couture is returning to fight at HW against Tim "Poopy Pants" Sylvia!!!!

Combine this with the news that the UFC has signed Mirko "Cro Cop" Filipovic, Quinton "Rampage" Jackson and Heath Herring to contracts and 2007 is shaping up to be a VEEEEEEEERY interesting year!!!

I'm psyched for this one. Also, me thinks Brandon Vera is wasting a great opportunity. Yes, he's looked great in his first 3 fights, but to demand a huge signing bonus.

Vera will get destroyed in the Pride HW division. There is clearly a better roster for HWs and LHWs in Pride, so even if he drops, he will get axe murdered....

Sylvia is gonna win. Thats awesome he is coming back!!! Ive always liked Randy but just think Tim is a better fighter right now. He proved that against Arlowski (sp)

You're citing Sylvia vs. Arlovski? AA didn't push in that fight at all! In the first, AA nearly chopped Sylvia down with leg kicks, but he never went back to those in the following rounds. That was one of the most boring fights ever and Tim spent the fight on defense.

Couture will push the fight and will keep trying to get it to the ground. I think that Couture has a great chance in this fight. But, we'll see what happens....

AA-TS 2 was the one where AA nearly KO'd TS, but he didn't go in for the kill on the ground. TS got his feet back and cold-cocked AA with an uppercut right on AA's notoriously glassy jaw - KO! AA-TS 3 is the one I was referrencing in my above post. That is one of the most boring fights ever and the crowd was BOOING a HW championship fight!

If by tactical you mean TS standing back just out of AA's reach for 5 rounds, then yes you are right....



I still can't fathom why AA's corner did not instruct him to continue to chop at TS's leg! It was black and blue by the end of the first and he could have ended the fight with that if he continued with that through the 2nd and into the 3rd....

Sylvia has KO power with those big kicks, If I was fighting with AA's atributes then I would block and get inside and go for the KO striking and just roll the dice that he doesnt get KO'd like fight #2.

Sylvia has never impressed me much, I think he's the least talented of UFC's current champions. I'd put my money on Couture.

I live in Denver, but will be in Scottsdale on 3/3/07 and was hoping to catch UFC 68. Does anyone know of a place that shows UFC pay per view fights? Preferably in Scottsdale, but any where in Phoenix would do.
