The United Football League has announced the rosters for each of their eight teams. Among them are several former Raiders players, some of whom were pretty highly drafted by the Raiders.
Arnette was a first round pick (19 overall) by the Raiders out of Ohio State. He was a problem since well before the Raiders drafted him and at very least should never have been taken in the first round. A serious of crashed rentals cars, a DUI, and weapons arrests had his NFL career over four games into his second season.
Melifonwu is listed as a linebacker for Memphis. He was a safety coming out of Connecticut in 2017 when the Raiders spent a second round pick on him (56 overall). He just couldn't stay healthy. He managed five games for the Raiders, then two for the Patriots and that was it.
The Raiders selected Hall in the second round of the 2018 draft (57 overall). He last two seasons for the Raiders before they gave up on him. He then played a seasons for the Texans in 2020 and has been out of the league since then.
Gillespie was a fourth round pick (143 overall) by the Raiders in the 2021 draft. He appeared in 11 games for the Raiders as a rookie and was cut before his second season. He was signed by the Jaguars and appeared in three games and has been out of the NFL the past two seasons.
King was signed an an undrafted free agent in 2012. After a year of waiting for Shane Lechler to leave for Houston, Lechler took over as the team's full time punter. He spent five seasons in that job, even being a second team All Pro in 2016. Then he made fun of Jon Gruden in an interview and Gruden cut him before ever even coaching a game for the Raiders. He saw four games for the Broncos in following seasons and hasn't played an NFL snap since.
