Just basically mauled them. Does Rob Evans keep his job now? I am not so sure. His players may like him but this year was horrible.

UofA hasn't had that great of a year, but we sure make them look good. :D

I don't know too many people excited by having Rob as our coach. Sad too. He seems like a great guy, but it's just not working out.

Rob Evans is horrible. His multiple failures as a game coach were obvious to the whole Pac10 this entire year. Not calling timeouts at crucial times, substitution mistakes, calling out Diogu through the media, etc. When he got hired wasn't he supposed to "show the Pac-10 how to play defense." My brother and Dad are huge ASU fans and at halftime they were hoping the Cats would win by 50 so it would ensure Evans getting canned. Evans restored some sort of respect for thr program after the point-shaving scandal, but now Gene Smith needs to do something and bring in a someone that actually knows how to coach.

It will be interesting if Rob Evans will be back next year. I think he will because ASU gave him an extension thru 2007.

As for Ike leaving, I doubt he'll leave until after next year. If Lon Kruger gets hired at UNLV rumor has it his son will transfer from ASU to the Rebels.

Being a UofA alum I was happy to see the Wildcats make the extra pass today. When they do that it seems they win big. If the UofA can get to the Pac-10 finals I think they can get a #5 seed. But most likely to get that they will have to win the tournament.

A shocking stat I found out today is that the UofA has beaten ASU 18 of the last 19 games they have met. Also, since Lute has been the coach ASU has only won once at McKale, in 1995.

How is that stat shocking? Behind Red Sox-Yankees, ASU/UA basketball is probably the most one-sided rivalry on sports.

Why did U of A find it necessary to run up the score score on ASU.....nothing like kicking a team when it's down.

This UA team has been soft all season, I think Lute just wanted them to play hard and tough for the entire 40 minutes.

Complete games for the Wildcats have been to few this season.

I'd imagine Lute wanted to keep the starters out to get them tuned up. I guess it was just a side benefit that they ran up the score on ASU. It is do or die time now with the tournaments coming up. UA can't afford to show any mercy if they want to do anything this season.

I thought ASU played with little heart and determination...and that is worse than just being undermanned. It didn't look like ASU was paying D at all. They seemed indifferent about rebounding. You almost got the sense they weren't even running any set offense of any kind but rather schoolyarding it out there.

Uof A is better but I cannot sit here and suggest ASU tried their hardest.

That is my indictment of Evans and why ASU should consider bagging him. If Diogu leaves, Evans is in deep trouble.

Speaking of ASU's ineptness, can any ASU fans explain to me how Jason Braxton has a scholarship? There's 7th graders that have better jumpshots than him.

Are you actually suggesting that ASU wouldn't do the same thing??

No reason the starters had to be in their as long as they were. U of A was just trying to run up the score.

Maybe Evans shoudn't have ran his mouth about Lute being "classless."
