Didnt see anyone else mention it, but UofA lost tonight putting them out in the first round.

I only caught the last 8 minutes or so, but from what I understand the Cats let them back in.

Iguodala hit a 3 to bring them within 2 with 30 seconds left. The Pirates made 1 of 2 Fts, then Iguodala forced another 3 with about 1 seconds to go. It looked like he was trying to draw a foul, but no luck. The shot looked good for a second, hit the backboard, inside of the rim and out.

I can't say I'm terribly surprised. SH is the sort of gritty, team oriented team that the Cats have had trouble with. The truth is that Lute has failed to get this team to play as a team. There are too many NBA wanna bees and not enough guys that are focused on winning.

Iguodala will probably come out if the mock drafts keep listing him in the top 10, but the rest of the guys will return next year.

BTW, Syracuse had a serious scare against BYU. If Rafael Araujo
had not bricked a couple of long jumpers at crunch time, Warrick and friends might have gone home very early. I only watched the latter part of the game and Araujo was effective in the low post, but his decision to shoot jumpers was very poor decision making.

McNamara of Syracuse had a monster game. I didn't get his final stats but he had at least 37 points. It's too bad he is not very athletic because he is one of the top shooters in the country.

Well, if Andre does bolt, that's ok, UofA apparently has a freshman phenom coming in next year that can more than replace Andre.

They also thought they had Ndudi Ebi coming this year. Hopefully their guy (dont know who you are talkin about) doesn't jump. If he is really a top HS product, I would expect him to jump in all honesty. Aren't they saying there is a possibility of 11 or so HS seniors being taken in the first round?

Cats had a 13 point lead in the 2nd period and pissed it away.

I watche SH give U Conn a tough time in a recent game. This was the price of having a bad season, the Cats had to play a much stronger opponent in the first round than they are used to.

Ebi was a moron, and his not-coming to UofA really hurt the Cats. This team was soft up front, and they had a very thin bench. It would have been nice to get past SH, but they would have gotten beat by Duke.

Jawann McClellan could replace Iguodala but Cats could use top 50 recruit F/C Mohamed Tangara more (w/o seeing him play). Losing Fox, 6'4 PF, and depth hurt UofA most IMO.

I believe the Wildcats were the best scoring team in the country this year. The problem is that they couldn't defend their shadows.

Iguodala was definitely trying to pick up the three shot foul at the end. In fact that first I couldn't believe the referee did not make the call. Then I saw the replay, and the defendant did a fantastic job of avoiding contact. It was not a bad play by Iguodala IMO. I couldn't believe how close the ball came to actually going in the basket.

I picked Seton Hall. Both of the games I picked incorrectly yesterday were nail biters. I had UTEP over Maryland and Dayton over Depaul.

Fox is a joke. He doesn't do anything when he's healthy. Yes, he's an extra body. But he's pretty useless.
