Just wanted to share a couple of minor annoyances I had about the stadium today:

They still refuse to use the huge video screen to show down and distance. Why is this such a difficult concept for whomever is in charge of these things? It is a pain to locate the downs and distance on the little video board "strip". The large video screen is the biggest waste; but at least I was given the opportunity to memorize the entire 2007 schedule!

Did anyone else notice that a large section of the neon red lights on one of the large support colums wasn't working at all? What are the odds this gets fixed during any point of the rest of this season? Hope the warranty didn't run out already on the place!

On a positive note, the sound system sounded like it improved from what I remember from last season.

The only thing I noticed about the stadium was the fact that is was about 80 degrees in there and about 110 degrees outside.;)

Good point! I guess I'm already spoiled by being in and air conditioned, gorgeous stadium instead of roasting at SDS on an aluminum bench hoping the concrete foundation doesn't give out!

I agree down and distance should be on the big board.

Not only this...but the main board DOES NOT SHOW THE EFFING SCORE. Come on!!!

The sound was better, although the ads for FSN were way too loud.

Also, the PA guy made soooo many mistakes yesterday, it was embarrassing.

The PA guy got more excited talking about the sound system and the people that run it more than he did for the actual game.. wtf?

LOL. True. I was also very impressed how Sean Morey changed his uniform number on three consecutive plays.

Down and distance and other info was showing quite clearly on the thin video lines on both sides of the field, just above the lower deck. They didn't do that last year.

Audio was better and the big scoreboard advertising seemed cut by at least a third.

Yes but they still need to put down and distance on the big screen. The only thing I miss from SDS.
