Why? I would expect it to be shorter. I think O-lineman play hurt more than any other position in the league. I wouldn't be surprised to seem him out there week 1.

I'm just pessimistic. Was looking forward to something a little different with the interior of the OL to start the season. I hope your week one guess is more realistic.

Just got to man up and play. I had hoped we'd moved on from the ineffectiveness of a line starting Sendlein, Larsen, and Sowell.
Long term, I like the idea that's been floated since Cooper was drafted to consider him as long term center. He's got the brains, the push, and the ability to shore up a key weak spot. The RG is the easiest position to replace on an NFL offense (along with fullback). Not so with the center.

I would like to see BA try Anthony Steen at LG. Bigger and more physical than Ted Larsen.

Hmmm.....

Sowell has started at LT for this team and when Massie and Sowell were our only starting OT's Sowell played LT.

Larson was brought in to replace Daryn College.

Thus our starting LG goes down and replace him with someone better than what was put on the field 2 years ago, and then our RT acts the fool, and he is replaced by someone that was better than our starting LT 2 years ago.

Injuries happen, but our back up are better than our starters where 2 years ago.

Would not be surprised if this one turns into a much longer term than reported.

I wonder if the coaches move Cooper back to the left side and put the next man up on the right?

Hopefully the Cardinals do the right thing and put him on the PUP. Opens up a roster spot, and currently there are log jams of talent at other positions.

Again, injuries happen, by week 6 there will be someone down and the extra player kept may come in handy.

In a perfect world, Cooper goes to LG, and Watford goes to RG. But, I doubt that is what will happen.

Didn't Watford play LG in college?

I Wikipedia'ed him:

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Earl_Watford

Nothing about the position he played in college but I found this:

He holds the Taco Championship for eating 15 tacos in one sitting at Arizona Wilderness Brewing Co in Gilbert AZ. (02/10/15) He also holds the beer drinking record for drinking 7 "birthday mugs" which are 36 oz a piece at Arizona Wilderness Brewing Co in Gilbert, AZ

But, yes, he mainly played LG in college.

I've read ,where it's going to be Larson again. Probably for continuity, because he played alongside Veldheer last yr.

This is infuriating to me. They said Watford had the best camp out of anyone yet they still want to replace Iupati with one of the worst starting guards in the league last year.

I'm with you, I would Earl to get a shot because we all know what we have/don't have in Larsen.

Maybe he doesn't know the playbook as well as Larsen. Could that be the reason?

Can he even be put on PUP, since he already passed a physical and started camp?

No. Once you take part in training camp, you're not longer eligible for PUP.

He can't as he already practiced/played in camp.

Yep , without the stellar play of Iupati , we would never have gotten those 11 wins last season !!!!

The cards have worked hard this offseason trying to improve the run game and keep the QB healthy in the pocket. The cards have stated many times about the need to improve in the interior of the line.

1) This is awesome on so many levels. Wilderness Brewing Co has the worst parking in the Valley but is an underrated gem. Arizona Avenue just south of Guadalupe.

2) Would you put him on IR designated for return at this point? I don't think that I probably would.
