I wonder if Maxx is allowed to rehab at the facility once the new league year starts on Wednesday.

Gotta love maxx for 2 reasons. One, he is a good TE, blocks well and can catch a few passes. Two, because of his injury we got Ertz. Now three, will be nice to have BOTH on the roster (and field) at the same time! Maxx 100%!
Absolutely loved the play KK designed for Maxx where he blocked the edge guy out wide on the right side of the line, blocked him back about 3-4 yards then released down the sideline kinda in the flat. He then took off & flattened the tackler for like a 15 yard gain. Never saw that play again after that, I think he got hurt a few games later? Plays like that makes KK look a whole lot better as a play caller, just wish he'd keep changing things up like that rather than being predictable.

I fully believe that we move to more 2 TE sets with 3 WR. Takes the pressure off replacing 2 WRs. More efficient use of cap.
We kind of have to play more 2-TE sets. We don't just lack in the WR department; putting Ertz out there alone both screams pass and cripples us in the run. Bringing back Maxx is important for more than just his own contributions.

He tore every ligament in his knee IIRC. Not that explosiveness was his elite tool but I don’t expect much year 1.

Did he? His injury report says just LCL. Where did you get every ligament?

It’s hilarious that Ertz really doesn’t make us that much better, if it all. However, it definitely makes us more predictable. Maxx just might be the most important non-QB player on offense.

I mean, he makes us better on 3rd down, if KM decides to utilize him. He can net us first downs on 3rd-and-short like mad. Otherwise, yeah, we're too predictable.

This. By this time next year a lot on this site will be complaining he wasn’t the same player. I believe he will start on the pup list and won’t be nearly himself until MAYBE November/ December.

I predict that the CARDS will either run or pass the ball on each offensive play, and if the front five does their job there is a better than fair chance something positive will ensue.
