Pretty sad day. The owner is awful and hasn’t invested in the team. He was also seeking public financing initially, which wasn’t and shouldn’t happen but he’s likely to get it in Vegas.

Their whole PR/fan campaign is “Rooted in Oakland.”

Should have chosen Portland. Privately financed stadium is ready to break ground at any given notice. I guess the As owner wouldn't want to give up the stake in the team that the stadium group would want.

The Portland As would have been perfect! And the As/Mariners rivalry world have been even better

This all day. A deal was to be made in Oakland but Fisher wanted public financing. Zero investment in the team over the years. He’s awful. Crappy way for a team with a history like the A’s to leave. Shame on the MLB for permitting it.
