The Philadelphia 76ers ended a lengthy 12-game losing streak with a 122-103 win over the Washington Wizards on Wednesday night. The Sixers received a career-high 30 points from Jeff Dowtin Jr. as they were able to win their first game since March 16.
While some might be upset that the Sixers won due to lottery purposes, they could afford a win in this situation. Besides, when asked about fans wanting the team to intentionally lose, Quentin Grimes wasn't trying to hear any of it as he's looking to help build a culture.
With that being said, here is an updated look at the lottery standings after the Sixers knocked off the Wizards:
30. Utah Jazz 17-63 --GB
29. Washington Wizards 17-63 --GB
28. Charlotte Hornets 19-61 2 GB
27. New Orleans Pelicans 21-58 4.5 GB
26. Philadelphia 76ers 24-56 7 GB (fifth-worst record in the league)
25. Brooklyn Nets 26-53 9.5 GB
24. Toronto Raptors 30-50 13 GB
The Sixers can finish no better than fifth-worst with either one more loss or one more win by the Nets. They can no longer catch the Pelicans.
