The Oklahoma City Thunder have clinched the first seed. Not surprising considering they've held a double-digit game lead in the standings for most of the season.
The Thunder continue a four-game homestand when they host the Indiana Pacers. They've won eight in a row and hope to become the first team in NBA history to finish the season with just one loss to the Eastern Conference.
Less than a month remains in the 2024-25 regular season. Even though the Thunder aren't involved, plenty of heated races for seeding have ramped up as the margin for error gets thinner. Thunder Wire will conduct daily updates on the West's standings until the season ends:
What happened last night?
Clippers 132, Nets 100: The Clippers remain one of the hottest teams. A 42-point second quarter led them to a blowout win over the Nets. Kawhi Leonard had an efficient 31 points against the tanking Brooklyn.
Timberwolves 124, Suns 109: This was the latest example of the Timberwolves beating up on the Suns. Julius Randle led the way with 25 points. This was an important win for Minnesota considering both squads are in the play-in tournament range.
Warriors 111, Pelicans 95: After a scary fall last week, Stephen Curry returned from a pelvis injury. He had 23 points as the Warriors cruised in a blowout win over the Pelicans. They're a get-right squad this time of the year as they rack up losses.
Nuggets 129, Jazz 93: This was another blowout game in a night filled with title contenders facing off against bottom-feeders. Nikola Jokic had 27 points and 14 rebounds to lead the way. Utah vies for the league's worst record.
