The 2025 SEC Softball season has lived up to the hype. There have been some phenomenal series across the conference, and the top of the league has several teams that will vie for the SEC championship and the national championship.

Oklahoma's series loss to the Tennessee Volunteers created a lot of movement in this week's power rankings, but so did South Carolina's series win over LSU. The league is beginning to beat up on itself a bit, showing there are some strong programs even outside of the top three or four teams.

So what do the SEC Power Rankings look like after another fantastic weekend of softball action?

1. Texas Longhorns (34-3, 7-2)

The Texas Longhorns lost the first game of the series to Mississippi State but beat the Bulldogs by a combined score of 14-5. The Longhorns look like the team to beat in the race to take the national title crown from the Oklahoma Sooners. Texas has the Missouri Tigers up next.

2. Tennessee Volunteers (27-6, 5-4)

When you beat the four-time defending national champions in a series on their home field, you get a significant bump in the power rankings. Tennessee can hit and they can pitch. They're a legitimate national title contender.

3. Oklahoma Sooners (29-1, 8-1)

In 2024, the Oklahoma Sooners lost regular season series to Texas and Oklahoma State. They still went on to win the national championship. The Sooners have to figure out a few things in the lineup and in the circle, but they're still an incredibly talented team and will be a Women's College World Series squad.

4. Florida Gators (33-5, 6-3)

The Florida Gators swept Auburn over the weekend to rebound from their series loss to Texas. The Gators are No. 2 in the conference in team batting average and No. 4 in the SEC in ERA. Up next is a big series against Bri Ellis and the Arkansas Razorbacks.

5. South Carolina Gamecocks (27-7, 4-5)

The South Carolina Gamecocks picked up a big series win over the LSU Tigers and that comes on the heels of a series win over Texas Tech and beating Clemson in the midweek. The Gamecocks have the offense to play with anyone in the conference.

6. Arkansas Razorbacks (26-7, 6-6)

The Arkansas Razorbacks swept the Kentucky Wildcats this weekend after taking two of three from Tennessee the week before. Bri Ellis hit her 18th home run of the season in the Razorbacks 10-2 run rule win on Saturday.

7. LSU Tigers (31-4, 6-3)

LSU has series wins over Kentucky and Georgia, but against one of the better teams in the conference, South Carolina, LSU dropped two of three and were held to just one run in the series finale loss on Sunday. The Tigers take on Alabama next but then will face Texas A&M, Texas, Florida, and Arkansas to close the season. The next month will be huge for the Tigers.

8. Texas A&M Aggies (31-5, 6-3)

The Aggies hosted Loyola Marymount in College Station for a nonconference series and earned a pair of run-rule wins. Next up for Texas A&M is a road trip to take on the Georgia Bulldogs.

9. Mississippi State Bulldogs (29-8, 6-3)

Tough weekend for the Bulldogs after taking the series opener from the Longhorns. They allowed seven runs in each of their next two games to drop the series to the No. 1 team in the nation.

10. Kentucky Wildcats (21-15, 5-7)

After a promising series win over Ole Miss, the Wildcats fell back to earth in their series against Arkansas, losing all three games, including a 10-2 run rule loss. Kentucky and Auburn are the only teams in the bottom three in the conference in both team ERA and team batting average.

11. Ole Miss Rebels (28-6, 6-3)

Ole Miss had a nice weekend in Columbia, taking two of three from the Missouri Tigers after dropping a series to Kentucky the weekend before. Ole Miss is getting a lot out of their pitching staff right now but needs to be better at the plate as they rank No. 11 in the conference in team batting average.

12. Alabama Crimson Tide (25-13, 4-5)

The Crimson Tide moved closer to .500 in SEC play with their series win over Georgia but have a long way to go to climb the conference standings. The Crimson Tide are fifth in the conference in batting average but 10th in team ERA.

13. Georgia Bulldogs (25-10, 4-8)

The Georgia Bulldogs haven't won an SEC series yet, but they haven't been swept, either. They have Texas A&M this weekend and then follow that up with a series against Auburn. Georgia is No. 12 in the conference in both batting average and team ERA.

14. Missouri Tigers (19-18, 2-7)

Missouri avoided the series sweep Monday night, taking the finale over No. 21 Ole Miss. Sophie Smith had a big night for the Tigers, going 2-for-3 with a grand slam and five RBIs. The Tigers take on the Longhorns next weekend.

15. Auburn Tigers (22-14, 0-12)

The bottom continues to fall out for the Auburn Tigers after getting swept by the Florida Gators. On the bright side, they've played four of the better teams in the conference in Florida, Texas, Texas A&M, and Mississippi State. On the other hand, the 0-12 hole they're in is going to be hard to overcome. Next up is a trip to Lexington to take on the Kentucky Wildcats.
