OXFORD — Ole Miss baseball's hot start faded a bit in SEC play.

The Rebels (15-4, 1-2 SEC) went 1-2 in their opening SEC series against No. 3 Arkansas (18-2, 2-1) over the weekend. Ole Miss is No. 18 in the USA TODAY coaches poll, which is down three spots from last week.

The Rebels won the Friday game against Arkansas but lost the last two games. Because Ole Miss lost a midweek game against South Alabama at Swayze field, the Rebels have now lost three of their last four games after winning 13 in a row.

Here's how it impacted the Rebels in the polls:

Where Ole Miss baseball is ranked

USA TODAY coaches poll: No.18

D1 Baseball: No. 18

Baseball America: No. 19

Who does Ole Miss baseball play next?

Ole Miss will play No. 23 Southern Miss on Tuesday (6 p.m., ESPN+) in Pearl. The Golden Eagles are 14-6.
