He should easily be the All Star game starting right fielder with respects to Hunter Pence and Brad Hawpe

He's hitting great and has an awesome arm. Now all he has to do is learn how to catch fly balls. Right now he's terrible at reading the ball off the bat.

Fielding is one of the 5 tools isn't it?

He deserves to be in the all-star game, but I don't think that's going to happen this season only because of the team's lack of success. IMO only one D-Back is going to be on the team and that will be Haren.

I disagree. I think that both Upton and Haren will be selected for the All Star game.

Agreed, assuming Upton keeps it up. Obviously he doesn't have to stay on this ridiculous level of a tear, but he's got a great shot at being selected by the coaches.

I was thinking about the two games last season when Justin was moved to #3 in the batting order and did well. So Bob Melvin, of course, moved him down in the order and never returned him to the 3rd spot.

Now that Upton has been installed as our #3 hitter, and kept there, he has become one of the top batters in the league.

I wonder if Melvin ever uses his free time now to look in the mirror and say, "You *******."

Apparently it wasn't Josh Byrnes who was choosing the lineups, because he's still the GM and Justin is prospering as our everyday #3 hitter.

Not only is he doing extremely well. He's the guy who is now making the rest of the lineup better. At the age of 21.

And Hinch, with no more managerial experience when he took over than you or I, is the guy who made it happen.
