that's what I'm sayin lol. the US scored 2 goals last WC, but you have to subtract one because it was an own goal by the italians. It may take 3 games for US to reach 3 goals.
if all 23 men take his approach the USA might just beat england. if you don't believe you can win...you simply won't. especially if you are going against a better side. I just think this is something that jozy probably should have kept in house with his teammates.I dont know.... I like the ballsy approach.
The way we played in the Confed cup has left me much more optimistic than in previous cup years. We just have to capture some energy and confidence.
I really like some of the decisions made today in the roster. Not taking Ching made me smile. And I like Herculez and Buddle.
We shall see.
I don't have a problem with his thinking even if it were 5 goals as ubsurd as it sounds...just not something he should announce to the world because you know no one else outside of that lockeroom is going to agree with him.Its one thing to believe you're going to win, and another to believe that you're going to beat one of the world cup favorites by 3 goals. Especially coming from Altidore, whos done absolutely nothing this year for his club.
mexico dominates a lot of teams that they lose to. especialy the USA. typically the USA gets dominated and can still beat teams. like spain, mexico, etc. I really hope they can do the same to england, because I know that will be a one sided affair in terms of ball possession. I guess one can only hope. that's what i love about soccer. the team that dominates can lose and leave fans whining. mexico is a great technical ball control team, but they have no killer instinct and they struggle to score game changing goals when it matters most. at least that has been their problem historically.Mexico dominated england despite the game being a 3-1 win for them. England is very beatable.
