Long story the most obvious violation detailed in it is the claim that his family wouldn't allow him to play for Master P's AAU team because they couldn't afford to travel with him and didn't want him that far away from home. So Master P paid for family members to travel with the team, that's an amateurism violation it would result in Derozan being ineligible to play college basketball if true.

There's a bunch more stuff in there including a quote from his half brother Jermaine(who admittedly seems way too involved in Demar's business) saying this is like another Mayo and Rodney Guillory situation except Demar is an innocent victim in this.

Didn't UCLA, ASU, and UA all recruit this kid at one point?

Yes.

This is not an NCAA violation case it's a case of if the stuff is true, USC is playing an ineligible player.

If you read the whole story it's clear that Derozan and Romeo became friends after Derozan joined Master P's AAU team. So Master P paying for Demar's family to attend road games is an AAU and amateur violation(he was in 8th grade he wasn't even subject to NCAA rules yet).

So it's not that USC violated NCAA rules in recruiting Demar, it's that they might be playing a kid who's not eligible under NCAA rules because one of those rules is you have to be an amateur.

The bad stuff about USC in there is old news how Demars family didn't want him at USC because they didn't trust Floyd or his staff.

If the story is true you may find Derozan not on the court when UA plays USC this weekend. But that would take someone investigating it and USC deciding like they did with Mayo, they better suspend the player and leave it up to the NCAA to decide
to reinstate him. At this stage it's just a Yahoo story there's no indication yet anybody is investigating it. Typically it would be the Pac 10 first as it was in the Mayo case.
