Reminds me on Lebowski when they square off against the nihilists and realize that there is no hostage, was never any money and the nihilists want money because they were in so deep they cut a toe off their girlfriend

ASU may mess around and be the *edit - dope* with a nine toed woman ....... Amateurs

The whole delay of ASU agreeing to join the B12 today was based around this conversation between Crow and Yormark:

CROW: Okay Brett, Arizona State University is ready to accept your offer to join the Big 12 pending one final condition: the Big 12 agrees to officially designate the president of Arizona State as "Most Exalted President of All Big 12 University Presidents."

YORMARK: Can't do that.

CROW: How about as "University President in General of the Big 12" with all rights, privileges, red carpet treatment, and superseding authority when visiting any other Big 12 university?

YORMARK: No.

CROW: As official "Hand of the Big 12 Commisioner"?

YORMARK: Afraid not.

CROW: Boy, are you being unreasonable.

Reading this now, and it's interesting. Looks like it started coming together (Colorado) here in Scottsdale at a meeting with various conferences, the spring Fiesta Summit, hahaha.

They showed slides of ASU and UofA as well.

Colorado had expressed interest and emerged as a legitimate candidate so much so that athletic directors and administrators at the Fiesta Summit joked about it over beers at the resort pool after days during which the Big 12 and Pac-12 held meetings across the hall from each other.

ASU will be a full member of the Big 12 beginning August 2, 2024 along with Arizona, Colorado and Utah.

Interesting... but not so impactful on a national exposure basis since they have no football program.

Sounds like UCONN could be 20 as Bball only or maybe SDSU?

Yormark really wants to cement the BIG 12 as the premier Hoops conference and then separate football and basketball media negotiations next time around.
