USC vs. ASU

After a tough road loss, I expect ASU to come out at home and play pretty well. ASU is favored by 2.5 points, but USC typically has a good gameplan against us.

Has less to do with Brays play calling and more to do with ASUs depth being completed. Mazzone being overly cute and passing on 3rd and short (and failing) is a killer. ASUs offense needed a nice, long, slow drive to rest the D, but Mazzone is a freakin idiot.

I've had a real problem with the calls tonight. We should have gone for it early in the game when we were inside their 40. I thought we should have gone for 2 when we settled for the extra point and I wanted to kick the TV when we didn't run on 3rd and less than one. I sure hope we don't outplay USC once again and still lose. This sucks. And yes, our defense is showing that a team like ASU can't lose 5 starters and still be effective for 4 quarters.

They moved the ball at will on us for awhile there. ASU teams of the past would have rolled over and played dead so it was nice to see us force a couple of turnovers and get a few big first downs. Refs like to watch us (and Vontaze) for any chance to toss the flag but I suspect Lane Kiffin puts an even bigger bullseye on the Trojans. A couple of those USC penalties looked to be marginal (IMO).

I realize you're a Wildcat fan so reading comprehension is probably not your strong suit. Read my post again please. I'm simply acknowledging that USC picked up a couple of penalties that were questionable.
