Wow, USC = running back U
What a sick, sick running game!
They don't need great running backs with the way that line is blocking. Some of those holes were unbelievable.
It went they way I thought it would until the middle of the 2nd quarter, and then USC just completely took the crowd out of it.
I agree that USC has great talent along the line and at RB, but a caveat to that is Nebraska's o-line and d-line are not that good.
Having watched them up close I can tell you that the thing that struck me (and the coaches I was with) is that they are huge, lumbering, and slow. They have a hard time getting off blocks and have a hell of ahrd time with speed on both sides of the ball.
Not downplaying USC's dominance, but I think they will have a harder time against Cal then they did against Nebraska...

If they played Cal Saturday it would be a demolition. Cal currently has zero healthy starters on the DL. They had one starter out last week and lost 2 more in the game. One starter might return this week they're not sure, the other 2 had MRI's and it hasn't been released yet how long they're out.
I keep saying it I think Cal is in for some trouble this year, Longshore had better get it going because their defense isn't good and with the injuries will get worse quick.
The announcers, during the game, were talking about how Callahan had shifted to faster, quicker linemen than Nebraska had in the past. Still, USC's talent will make a lot of teams look "lumbering".
