I'm sort of piggybacking on Pariah's avatar suggestion. I was thinking that not only should be remove inactive users avatars, but maybe delete 0 post users that are over a year old....?

Some of them have some pretty good user names that new contributing users could use. This would reduce to total size of the user database (which I'm not sure how much space that would consume) and also make the user list much cleaner for searching

Interesting....might be a good idea.

I've always ignord all that, because it makes our registration look better with thousands of users signed up...but it probably doesn't really matter.

Skkorp has started a few threads over that last couple of years asking lurkers to register, even if they don't actively post. Having more registered users helps make the site look more legit and makes it easier to get access to events and teams for ASFN.

I counted it up and if you deleted all the zero posters that have been registered over a year it would be ~ 275 posters.

Another thing that confuses me is that it says there are 3100 users registered but only 2200 users are in the Members list. Is it possible there have been 900 banned members? Banned people don't show up in the member directory

Slow day at work, huh? :)

I wonder how many people have been banned. Quite a few are spammers and also the NEMs and VFs who've registered multiple times under different names.

There are 470 banned users...

And not really surprising...450ish users awaiting email confirmation, meaning they registered, but never clicked on the email.

Which means they are either idiots, or a lot of spam bots, etc...
