On one of these threads somewhere, someone suggested trying do dump a salary on Utah along with a pick or Jacobsen as incentive. I think one suggestion was to have Keon Clark coming back. Sorry to be so vague on the details.

Anyway, that possibility may have just gotten a little more realistic. Matt Harpring will require surgery and is out for an estimated three months. The significance of this is that Utah's IR is already full, with Clark, Ben Handlogten, and Curtis Borchardt. All four players have long-term injuries for this year (although Clark could be back fairly soon), but Utah probably wants to keep them, rather than cut them outright.

So the point is, Utah is now faced with the prospect of carrying only 11 healthy players for the rest of the season. With the playoffs a realistic possibility for them, it seems like the incentive to have a full roster of healthy players should be pretty high.

Who is Ben Handlogten?

Are you saying Jacobsen for a 2nd rounder?

If that meant we would give DerMarr Johnson a chance for the rest of the season, hell yeah.

Ben Handlogten has been playing center for the jazz and doing a good job until he got injured.

I really think we have seen the last of DerMarr Johnson.

With the suns two picks and his injuries I would not think he will be back.

I'm not really sure why they would want Casey Jacobsen though. It seems to me that they need a small forward or power forward. I definitely don't think they would give the Phoenix Suns in draft pick for him

Please stop harping on DerMarr Johnson! There's no way we'll bring him back! He's this year's Horacio Llamas.

We didn't keep Horacio Llamas? The next thing you'll tell me is that Daniel Santiago is playing in Milwaukee.

I believe that the Jazz think Kirilenko is most effective at SF.

...which means that McDyess would be a great pickup for them. Unfortunately, they don't have enough expiring salaries to get him, not that the Suns would be able to package McD with another player before the trade deadline, anyway...
