Va. Tech's Courtney to coach Cornell (AP)

Virginia Tech assistant Bill Courtney has been hired to replace Steve Donahue as Cornell's basketball coach. The hiring of the 39-year-old Courtney was announced by the school Friday. Courtney was with the Hokies for one season and spent eight years as an assistant at George Mason under Jim Larranaga.
