Well, after Eddie House and James Posey went 6-12 from 3 pt range in the comeback, what basketball fan can deny the need for 3 pt shooting. Doc Rivers got credit for going small and getting spacing by inserting these guys in crunchtime

from ESPN:

"The biggest adjustment was Rivers' decision to go small by inserting Eddie House and James Posey into the lineup. Those two 3-point shooters provided the spacing Boston lacked with Kendrick Perkins and Rajon Rondo on the court, and repeatedly burned the Lakers when they tried to double Kevin Garnett and Paul Pierce. It was something Rivers had been considering heading into the game, and once the Celtics fell behind and Perkins hurt his shoulder, he rolled the dice."

One more argument for Kareem Rush or another good 3 pt shooter in the suns draft.

I think Doc Rivers solidified his future as a top coach in this league for years to come with that coaching performance in game 4.

He is most definetly outcouching PJ in this series. No question. He was a bit fortunate/unfortunate though in that Perkins injury forced it a bit. I have gained a lot of respect for Doc.

Suns should get a Pierce-type player (slasher, scorer) so Nash can spot up from three.

if the Celtics win with the championship with the lineup of

C - KG
PF - posey
SF - pierce
SG - allen
PG - house

that does mean small ball is still effective?

matchup advantages are effective, the flexibility to go to small ball will be effective on offense as long as you dont give up too much on D and the celtics dont. The celtics can do this because with KG in the middle, the defense is anchored, the lane will be a tough place to score. The suns with amare in the middle is a different story on defense, I dont think it will be effective against teams that want to pound it inside with a good low post scorer.
