It is now official - Kyle Vandenbosch is now the first string LDE, having moved ahead of Wakefield. They had been co-listed on the team depth chart.

I first told you about this a week ago.

Kyle looks incredibly good playing the strong run side. He was always better against the run than the pass anyway. Don't expect to see him on Saturday though, and Starks and Gilmore may be held out too because of caution.

Kyle is a Denny Green type player and now he's being rewarded by playing beside Darnell Dockett or Kenny King. If his knees hold up, you will see the rookie KVB again, only stronger and smarter.

Good for him, it's nice to see hard work pay off for someone. With Berry across from him and King/Dockett next to him we won't need a lot of pass rushing from his side anyway but we do need some good run stoppers.

That is encouraging.

I would really like him to have a full season and show what he can do. I admire the determination after 2 full missed seasons and not giving up.

Somebody just broke it to Kemp, and Kemp broke it to the almighty airwave.
MJ comes on around 5:50 or so, if there's anything to it, he'll probably mention it.

Great news for KVB!!! I hope he finally gets to experience an injury free season. He seems to me to be somewhat of a throw-back player, which instantly makes him one of my favorite types of players!!!

Congrats to ya KVB!!! It's good to see that hard work still pays off.

Go Cards!!!

Gotta love KVB, met him at the minicamp, extremely nice guy, worked his ass off to get to where he is. I never thought he would be at this point, but here we are.

Skkorp, do you know if the coaching and training staff have worked on making sure KVB doesnt reinjure himself?

Haven't heard a word about DENNIS JOHNSON...

What about him?

This is good. KVB worked hard...very hard to come back from the injuries and now he is getting his shot and I hope he can stay healthy and take full advantage of this chance. Looking forward to watching him play.

Sounds a bit like Dennis Johnson may be odd man out unless Wakefield drops off the charts from this point forward...assuming everyone buys into the KVB and Wakefield were top 2 at LDE.
