Pitcher Javier Vazquez and the Florida Marlins reached a preliminary agreement on a $7 million, one-year contract, a person familiar with the negotiations told The Associated Press. The deal is subject to Vazquez passing a physical, the person said Monday, speaking on condition of anonymity because no announcement was made.
