Dave Pasch’s Play of the Day

Adrian Wilson plastered Marcel Shipp to the turf on the goal line. Adrian is proving that he can make some big time plays. If he can eliminate some of the mental errors, Adrian has a chance to be as good at that position as anyone in the NFL.

Watch the hit!

Thats sux. I watch it and all I can see is McCown handing the ball off to Shipp and then the video freezes!

Nice hit to stop in his tracks. Also nice to see a hole that big for the RB to get to just wish he would have been able to pound his way through it.

Adrian stepped up and filled that hole nicely. I'd like to see our LBs do some of that.

Jim, your really starting to piss me off.... always posting these video links the will only play in "real player". :hulk:

Naw, I'm just kidding! I understand that we all have to work within certain restrictions. But it would be nice if you could get the management to agree to reconfigure the video clips to accept other formats (MS Media Player and/or Quicktime. hint, hint!)

That was smoking Shipp? It sounded nice but he did hit him from the side. If he would have hit him straight up, stopped him, and drilled him back into the turf, I would have been more impressed.

But hey, I've seen Wilson jump around and celebrate for a lot less and that is his problem. He needs to take a modesty lesson from the rookie Fitzgerald. When you make a play, get up and walk back to the huddle like you were just doing your job!

This is a reason why Emmitt will be our goal line back. He doesn't hesitate or fumble.

I would have to totally disagree with you on this, I dont want to watch a bunch of well spoken, polite, modest players playing ball. I want to see talking trash, hard hitting and getting pumped football especially on defense. I hated TO's celebrations and the stupid cell phone but after you cream someone your emotions take over and it feels good to let em out.

I don't mind the defense or a player showing some emotion, but Wilson goes way overboard on even the smallest of hits. A player's play and production should do most of the talking for them.
