Anyone have an opinion on cheap (but decent) video editing software? I just want to put a few video files into one giant video file plus some other things.

Any recommendations?

Thanks.

It really depends on how complex you want to get. There are probably some freeware options out there for simple tasks but it can take some trial and error.

Usually you end up with a triangle of time-money-quality. Pick two.

I have used the AVS suite of programs.
They are pretty inexpensive for what you get.
$60 for everything with upgrades included.

What did you end up getting? Do you have a PC or a Mac?

Apple has iMovie but just for Mac. I don't like it, but that's because I'm an editor and use expensive programs.

Haven't decided but probably the AVS that SirChaz mentioned. The Vegas Pro is way way way out of my price range for the little amount of video stuff I'm looking to do.

I have PC - any recs, Chap?
