"EDEN PRAIRIE, Minnesota (Ticker) - The Minnesota Vikings, who were ranked 26th in the NFL in pass defense last season, took a step toward improving that Wednesday by agreeing to terms with free agent cornerback Denard Walker.

Terms of the contract was not released.

Walker, 29, has spent the last two seasons with the Denver Broncos, starting 31 of 32 games. Last season, he was second on the team with 14 passes defensed and had 69 tackles and an interception.

The 6-0, 190-pound Walker spent his first four seasons with the Tennessee Titans and has 379 tackles and 11 interceptions in 93 games, including 87 starts. He started in Super Bowl XXXIV, when the Titans lost to the St. Louis Rams.

Minnesota allowed an average of 256.4 passing yards per game and gave up a league-high 33 TD passes."

One guy that can't catch, and the other can't run.

Or did they move Chavous to saftey cuz he so slow?

i heard on the radio chavous was lobbying hard to get klass up to minnesota (lobbying hard to get them to have him in for a visit). Wonder if he will move to safety now and they have no safety opening.. Tough gig for kwamie with flowers and jones still out there...he may have to beg someone to sign him for the minimum..damn sad situation. The $4 million the cards paid him last season was his payday (I think it was $4 mil)..

Chavous moved to safety at about mid-season last year....

Since January, ESPN has had the Cardinals listed as a Walker suitor. But they never reported on any contact between AZ and Walker (nor, to my knowledge did anyone else).

Hey lets not knock on Chavous. He was a great guy while he was here. During the draft last year he spoke nicely of the cards. He's got a fro too, thats cool enough for me.
