The Minnesota Vikings acquired running back Jordan Mason and the 187th overall pick in the 2025 NFL Draft from the San Francisco 49ers for the 160th overall pick in the 2025 NFL Draft and a sixth-round draft pick in 2026.

ESPN's Adam Schefter reported the trade late on Saturday night.

The report of the trade also included that Jordan Mason will receive a new contract with the Vikings. He agreed to a two-year deal worth up to $12 million, with $7 million in guarantees.

Mason was undrafted coming out of Georgia Tech after earning Third-Team All-ACC honors in 2022. He was with the 49ers for his entire NFL career playing sparingly until earning a larger role in 2024. He started in place of an injured Christian McCaffrey and ran for 789 yards, and averaged 5.2 yards per carry.

The Vikings now have the 24th, 97th, 139th, and 187th overall picks in the 2025 NFL Draft. The sixth-round pick they sent for the 2026 NFL Draft was acquired from the Texans this week after the team sent it to Houston for another running back last Summer, Cam Akers.
