Today is another day in the long journey to the 2025 NFL Draft, which, of course, means we now have another mock draft to break down and analyze. Thankfully, there is an added angle to this mock draft we discussed today that makes it a tad more special and gives a little more to look at through our lens.
Chad Reuter of NFL Media published a 4-round mock draft on Friday. As we get ready to start a new week, what better time to discuss the picks?
As we have discussed, Kwesi Adofo-Mensah and the Vikings had a great 2024 draft cycle. 2025 is set to be just as important a year as any for the team, especially considering how close this roster is to being in contention for a Super Bowl. Let's look at what Chad Reuter gave the Vikings as they look to pursue that perfect roster.
The tradeback is a great move for the Vikings, as they only have four picks in the draft as things currently stand. The selection of Nick Emmanwori is one that is even better for the trade back, as he is my idea of a perfect pick for the Vikings in round one now. The playmaking safety has the athletic testing you want in a dream prospect and that play style that makes him a monster under Brian Flores.
As for the other three picks in this mock draft, no, thank you.
Denzel Burke is a middle-tier cornerback prospect in a class full of players with better upside. Mitchell Evans is a luxury pick in round three in a very deep tight-end class. Joshua Gray is an older guard prospect who does not have much value outside of depth.
Those final three picks would be disastrous for the Vikings 2025 class.
