The Minnesota Vikings are moving on from center Garrett Bradbury after the team attempted to trade him unsuccessfully. The Vikings are releasing Bradbury with a post-June 1 designation to soften the blow on the salary cap.
Tom Pelissero of NFL Media first reported the move before being confirmed by the team.
Bradbury was drafted 18th overall in the 2019 NFL Draft after a college career at NC State, where he earned consensus All-American and the Remington Award winner for best interior offensive lineman in college football his Senior year. He became an instant starter with the Vikings and started in every game he played in for the team (88).
According to ESPN's Mike Reis, Bradbury is expected to have a large market led by the New England Patriots. He still has some gas in the tank and is an experienced presence to have on an offensive line built around. Time will tell where he lands, but wherever that is, he should be expected to start.
