I'm not sure I would trade Marion for Carter. If I knew Carter was playing 90% as many games over the next 4 years as Shawn Marion I would do it without a doubt and move JJ to SF.

Could be, BUT Cater's contract ends in 07-08 and he is only heading into his sixth year (still young). I would think the gamble is not as extreme as Penny when we signed him and began that hell.

Your deal still doesn't make any sense for the Raptors.

TOR already has Alston, Williams, Rose, Murray and Marshall (all with big/large contracts) plus Peterson will demand a new contract too.

Now your deal creates an even bigger logjam while they get rid of their best player and only one legit bigman.
