The Vancouver Canucks shut down the Pittsburgh Penguins in the first period, and that set the stage for a dominating win. Jake Virtanen and J.T. Miller scored power-play goals in the first and the Canucks held Pittsburgh without a shot in the period on the way to a 4-1 win on Saturday night. Elias Pettersson and Brock Boeser also scored for the Canucks (18-15-4).
