The News Herald is back with the athlete of the week poll, but first, congratulations to Laela Kern of Arnold, last week's Florida Power & Light (FPL) athlete of the week.

The athletes listed were chosen from coaches' nominations and game performances.

Local softball Mallon shines, North Bay Haven homer twice in lopsided victory over Arnold

Local boys volleyball NBH brings boys volleyball to Bay County in thriller versus Choctaw

Kaylee Goodpaster, North Bay Haven softball​


Goodpaster was 3-for-3 at the plate, including a home run bomb in the 8-1 victory over Arnold.

Bailee Gladden, North Bay Haven softball​


Gladden hit her third home run of the year with a two-run homer against Arnold.

Addison Mallon, North Bay Haven softball​


Mallon pitched a complete game against Arnold, totaling nine strikeouts and allowing one run.

Zac Flitcraft, Bozeman baseball​


Flitcraft was 2-for-3 at the plate hitting a home run in the 5-1 victory over Wakulla. Flitcraft also homered in the 9-0 victory over Bay.

Callie Le, Bozeman softball​


The pitcher threw four strikeouts, allowing only two hits in the 10-0 victory over Mosley.

Kenzie Nance, Rutherford softball​


Nance threw nine strikeouts in the 7-4 victory over Bay.
