The WIAA state boys basketball tournament concluded Saturday at the Kohl Center in Madison.

State champions were crowned in five divisions: Wisconsin Lutheran in Division 1, Wauwatosa West in Division 2, Milwaukee Academy of Science in Division 3, Aquinas in Division 4 and Cochrane-Fountain City in Division 5.

There were memorable games and moments, and some incredible individual performances.

Here’s 12 players who stood out on the big stage. Now it’s your turn to let us know who you think was the most valuable player of the state finals.

Jamarion Batemon, Milwaukee Academy of Science​


The senior had a team-high 22 points in the Division 3 state semifinal win over Lake Mills and had 16 points in the title game victory over Freedom.

Devin Brown, Milwaukee Academy of Science​


Brown had a pair of double-doubles this past weekend, including a 19-point, 12-rebound game against Lake Mills in the semifinals and 17 points and 19 rebounds in the title game win.

Jalen Brown, Wauwatosa West​


The sophomore had 22 points, seven assists, five rebounds and three steals in the D2 semifinals against Wausau East and had 14 points and five rebounds in the title game victory over Racine Park.

Donovan Davis, Freedom​


The sophomore had 27 points, 10 rebounds and five steals in the semifinal win over Elk Mound. He added 19 points, 16 rebounds and three assists in the championship game loss to Milwaukee Academy of Science.

Brennen Hackbarth, Sheboygan Area Lutheran​


The junior scored 26 points, had 11 rebounds and blocked two shots in the championship game loss to Cochrane-Fountain City. He added 10 points, five rebounds and three assists in the semifinal win over Abundant Life Christian.

Matthew Kloskey, Wauwatosa West​


Kloskey had a pair of 20-point performances to help lead the Trojans to the D2 state title. He had 22 points, 11 rebounds, five steals and four assists in the semifinals and then had 29 points and seven rebounds in the title game.

Drew Kortz, Freedom​


The senior scored 27 points and had five rebounds in the semifinal win over Elk Mound. He added 29 points in the championship game loss to Milwaukee Academy of Science.

Xzavion Mitchell, Oshkosh North​


Hours after being named Mr. Basketball in the state for 2025, the future Iowa State teammate of Jamarion Batemon scored 27 points with 13 rebounds, three assists, three blocks and two steals in a 58-57 loss to eventual D1 champion Wisconsin Lutheran.

Jaxson Moss, Racine Park​


The senior had 18 points, nine rebounds, six assists and four steals in a 65-63 win for Park in the D2 semifinals over Cedarburg, and then scored 19 points with six rebounds in the title game defeat against Wauwatosa West.

Isaiah Robinson, Racine Park​


Robinson broke the D2 single-game state steals record twice with seven in the win over Cedarburg to go along with five points, seven rebounds and four assists. He added 13 points, five rebounds, three assists and eight more steals in the title game. The 15 total steals are a two-game state tournament record across all divisions.

Ryan Westrich, Bonduel​


The junior scored 20 points and had 12 rebounds in the Bears’ semifinal victory over The Prairie School. He added 11 points, five rebounds and three blocked shots in the championship game loss to Aquinas.

Zavier Zens, Wisconsin Lutheran​


Zens helped lead Wisconsin Lutheran to its second straight state title and fourth in program history. The junior had 22 points and six rebounds in the semifinal win over Oshkosh North, followed by 19 points, three rebounds and three assists in the win over Marshfield in the final.
