Who should be the Nashville area girls high school basketball player of the year following the conclusion of the 2024-25 TSSAA basketball season?

You get to decide. The Tennessean picked 14 nominees among the area’s top Large and Small Class players. Vote for your favorite choice.

The poll will close Saturday at noon.

Natalie Barnes, Coffee County: Barnes, a Samford commitment, averaged 14 points, four assists and four steals for Coffee County, which finished 34-1 and reached the Class 4A state quarterfinals.

Blair Baugus, Wayne County: Baugus, an MTSU signee, averaged 22.5 points, 9.3 rebounds, 2.8 assists, 2.6 steals and 1.5 blocks. She was named Class 1A Miss Basketball as well as district tournament MVP and region tournament MVP.

Reese Beaty, York Institute: Beaty, an Iowa State signee, returned from a shoulder injury midway through the season and averaged 26.2 points, 5.2 rebounds, 4.1 assists and 3.2 steals while leading York to a Class 2A state runner-up finish. She earned the District 5-2A regular season and district tournament MVP and was also the Region 3-2A MVP.

Dasha Biriuk, Webb School - Bell Buckle: Biriuk, an Ohio State signee, averaged 16.4 points, 5.8 rebounds, three assists and three steals while leading Webb to the Division II-A state title. She shot 43% from the field, 32% from three and 86% from the foul line. Biriuk was the district MVP and state tournament MVP.

Cecilie Brandimore, Franklin: Brandimore, an all-district post player with an offer from Belmont, averaged 24.9 points, 13.6 rebounds and three blocks while shooting 54% from the field.

Abby Bryan, Lincoln County: Bryan, a Union University signee, averaged 19 points, 8.3 rebounds, two assists and 1.4 steals.

Ellie Butler, Livingston Academy: Butler, a Trevecca University signee, averaged 21.9 points, 7.2 rebounds, 2.1 assists and 3.4 steals.

Channah Gannon, Coffee County: Gannon, a University of Southern Indiana signee, averaged 17 points and six rebounds, earning district and region MVP honors.

Ellie Graham, Moore County: Graham, a Bryan College signee and Miss Basketball finalist, averaged 16 points, eight rebounds, 3.7 steals and two blocks while leading Moore County to the Class 1A state quarterfinals. She was district MVP, district tournament MVP and region tournament MVP.

Lyriq Mastin, Blackman: Mastin, a Tennessee Tech signee, averaged 18.8 points, 4.4 rebounds, 2.7 steals and two assists. She led Blackman to a Class 4A region semifinal.

Lily Morrow, Christ Presbyterian Academy: Morrow averaged 18 points, 6.2 rebounds, two assists and two steals. She was named the DII-AA Middle Region player of the year and led CPA to a state runner-up finish.

Zoey Nicholas, Pickett County: Nicholas averaged 24 points, six rebounds, five assists and two steals. She shot 59% from two-point range, 41% from three and was a district tournament MVP and all-region tournament player.

Ella Ryan, Brentwood: Ryan, a Quinnipiac signee, and Class 4A Miss Basketball finalist averaged 23.6 points, 4.9 rebounds, 3.1 assists and 3.2 steals while shooting 49.9% from the field.

Ally Weathers, Loretto: Weathers averaged 20.1 points, 7.1 rebounds, 4.5 assists, 3.5 steals and one block while leading Loretto to the Class 2A state semifinals. She was named a Miss Basketball finalist and shot 52.2% from the field, 35% from three and 79% from the free-throw line. She was named district MVP and all-region.
