With the 2024-25 winter season in the books, now is the time to vote for the SouthCoast Male and Female Athletes of the playoffs.

Old Rochester boys basketball reached the Div. 3 state final for the second straight year while Bishop Stang girls hockey earned the program’s first-ever trip to a state championship game.

Here's your chance to vote for the top high school performances among SouthCoast female and male athletes from the 2025 winter playoffs.

(Editor's Note: Voting will end on Sunday, March 30 at 8 p.m.)

Here’s a look at the postseason’s top performers (listed in alphabetical order by school):


BOYS BASKETBALL

Will Horton, Apponequet​


Horton had a combined 47 points in three playoff games.

Will Levrault, Apponequet​


In three playoff games, Levrault had a combined 67 points, including the game-winning 3-points with 20 seconds in a win over Swampscott.

Tysen Teixeira, Bishop Stang​


Teixeira scored a team-high 20 points in a preliminary round loss to Minnechaug.

Josh Vieira, Fairhaven​


Vieira scored a team-high 10 points in a loss to Oakmont in the Div. 3 preliminary round.

Demetrios Baptiste, GNB Voc-Tech​


Baptiste scored a career-high 38 points in a playoff loss to Stoneham.

Diego Montanari, New Bedford​


Montanari led the Whalers with 21 points in a loss to North Andover in the Div. 1 Round of 32.

Wyatt Smiley, Old Colony​


Smiley scored a team-high 20 points in a win over Notre Dame Cristo Rey in the Div. 5 Round of 32.

Brody Hiles, Old Rochester​


Hiles had a combined 61 points in five playoff games. He recorded a team-high 25 in a win over Norton.

Gavin Martin, Old Rochester​


Martin helped the Bulldogs reach the Div. 3 state final for the second straight year. In five playoff games, he had a combined 99 points, including a team-high 27 in the championship game against Norwell. He also sealed an upset win over Great Lawrence with a pair of free throws with 10 seconds left.

Grady Oliveira, Old Rochester​


In five playoff games, Oliveira had a combined 67 points, including 19 in a win over Norton.

BOYS HOCKEY

Marc Donati, Apponequet/Old Colony​


Donati recorded 60 saves in a triple-overtime loss to Winthrop in the Div. 4 Round of 32.

Ryan Vincent, Apponequet/Old Colony​


Vicent had one goal and one assist for the Lakers in a playoff loss to Winthrop.

Josh Dore, Bishop Stang​


Dore had Stang’s lone goal in a loss to Taunton in the Div. 3 Round of 32.

Carter Vane, Bishop Stang​


Vane made 30 saves in a loss to Taunton.

Zach Donatio, Dartmouth​


Donatio had one goal in a playoff loss to Norwood.

Maddox Larocque, Dartmouth​


Larocque had one of Dartmouth’s two goals in a loss to Norwood in the Div. 2 Round of 32.

Connor Galligan, Old Rochester/Fairhaven​


Galligan recorded a hat trick in ORR/Fairhaven’s 4-1 win over Saint Bernard’s in the Div. 4 Round of 32.

Tucker Roy, Old Rochester/Fairhaven​


With 30 saves in a playoff win over Saint Bernard’s, Roy surpassed 2,000 for his career.

BOYS TRACK

Thomas Smith, Apponequet​


Smith placed 13th in the 55-meter hurdles at All-States.

Wes Archelus, Old Rochester​


Archelus ran a 8.37 in the 60-meter hurdles at the New Balance National Indoor Track and Field Championships.

WRESTLING

Anthony Bojorquez, New Bedford​


Bojorquez took fifth at All-States.

Zully De La Cruz Carrera, New Bedford​


De La Cruz Carrera became the first New Bedford girl in the top eight at the All-State meet in the female division.

Josiah Semedo, New Bedford​


Semedo placed seventh at All-States.

GIRLS BASKETBALL

Cece Levrault, Apponequet​


Levrault had averaged 10 points in a pair of playoff games. She also had 14 rebounds and three steals in a loss to Pentucket.

Hannah Kuriscak, Apponequet​


Kuriscak had a team-high 23 points in a two-point loss to Pentucket in the Div. 3 Sweet 16. She also scored 16 points in a win over GNB Voc-Tech.

Addison Taylor, Apponequet​


Taylor averaged 10.5 points in two playoff games.

Remy Barber, Dartmouth​


Barber scored eight points in a playoff win over Leominster.

Kat Cheesebro, Dartmouth​


In three playoff games, Cheesebro combined for 93 points, including 40 in a win over North Attleboro that put her over 2,000 for her career. She scored 28 against Leominster and 25 against Whitman-Hanson.

Lila Emken, GNB Voc-Tech​


Emken had 18 points, 10 rebounds and two blocks in a playoff win over Boston Latin Academy.

Sofia Ramos, GNB Voc-Tech​


Ramos averaged 12 points in a pair of playoff games. She also had six rebounds, four assists and seven steals against Boston Latin Academy.

Jai-Ana Silva, GNB Voc-Tech​


Silva combined for 50 points in two playoff games and had a game-high 29 in a loss to Apponequet. She also had nine rebounds, three assists and three steals in a win over Boston Latin Academy.

Zaria Anderson, New Bedford​


Anderson scored 11 points as the Whalers beat Medford in the Div. 1 Round of 32.

Alaysha Sylvia, New Bedford​


Sylvia scored a team-high 13 points in a playoff win over Medford.

Caroline Brogioli, Old Rochester​


Brogioli scored 15 points in a playoff win over Arlington Catholic.

Emerson Gonet, Old Rochester​


Gonet had a team-high 18 points in a playoff win over Arlington Catholic and scored the game-winning 3-pointer with 4.6 seconds left in a win over Medway. She finished with 14 points in that game.

Emma Johnson, Old Rochester​


In three playoff games, Johnson had a combined 40 points, including 17 in a win over Arlington Catholic.

GIRLS HOCKEY

Madisyn Blanchard, Bishop Stang​


Blanchard scored the game-winning goal with 1:06 left in overtime to lift Bishop Stang past Methuen/Tewksbury into the Spartans’ first state title game. She also had two assists in a win over Notre Dame Academy.

Avery Frias, Bishop Stang​


Frias scored the game-tying goal with 26.3 left in regulation in Stang’s overtime win over Methuen/Tewksbury in the Div. 1 Final Four.

Madison Lewis, Bishop Stang​


Lewis scored the game-winner for Stang in a 1-0 playoff win over Bishop Feehan.

Vivienne Melo, Bishop Stang​


The freshman goalie had a combined 77 saves in the Elite 8, Final Four and state championship game.

Isa Rioux, Bishop Stang​


In five playoff games, Rioux had a combined five goals and two assists. She had Stang’s first of two goals in the state final against Hingham.

GIRLS TRACK

Nialonis Smith, New Bedford​


Smith won the weight throw (46-09) at All-States.
