Who will be the lohud Flag Football Player of the Week, presented by White Plains Hospital? It's time to look at the standouts from April 7-April 12.
Check out the nominees in lohud Flag Football Player of the Week, presented by White Plains Hospital, and cast your vote. The athletes' credentials are listed above the fan poll, which will be open until 3 p.m. Wednesday. The winner will be announced on social media on Wednesday.
Winners this season: Ava Fagin, Brewster.
Let's meet the candidates.
The freshman wide receiver had 20 rushes for 204 yards with three touchdowns over the last week.
The sophomore quarterback had three rushing touchdowns and 10 tackles against Woodlands.
The senior was 10 for 13 for 178 yards with three touchdowns and two extra points and a rushing touchdown against Dobbs Ferry. She had 147 yards passing with three touchdowns and a rushing touchdown against Irvington. Mager had two passing touchdowns against Lakeland.
Over three games against Peekskill, Hastings and Bronxville, the junior had 20 flag pulls, 200 yards and a touchdown.
Over three games against Fox Lane, Peekskill and Tappan Zee, the junior had 253 yards, two touchdowns, two interceptions and 10 flags.
The freshman, over three game, had seven receptions for 72 yards and a touchdown. She also had five interceptions, one being a touchdown. A cornerback, Sanchez had nine flags.
