Who will be the Softball Player of the Week, presented by White Plains Hospital? It's time to look at the standouts from April 7-13.
Check out the nominees for lohud Softball Player of the Week, presented by White Plains Hospital, and cast your vote. The athletes' credentials are listed above the fan poll, which will be open until 3 p.m. Wednesday. The winner will be announced on social media on Wednesday.
Let's meet the candidates.
The sophomore had three games of double-digits strikeouts in the last week - she had 19 against Rye Neck, 13 against Albertus Magnus and 13 against Dobbs Ferry. She also had three home runs and three multi-hit games in the last week.
In the Tigers' only game of the week at Briarcliff, the junior Caputo was 3 for 4 with a triple, a double, four RBI and five runs scored.
The junior was 3 for 4 with three home runs and six RBI against Westlake and was 1 for 2 with two walks and two runs scored against Westlake.
The senior pitcher/first baseman hit .625 with two doubles, six RBI and scored three runs in a pair of Valhalla wins. She also had eight strikeouts while pitching against Croton-Harmon.
Over three games, Preisser is hitting .857 with two doubles, eight RBI and four runs scored. She has struck out 29, while allowing two earned runs.
Over three games, the senior was 6 for 10 with two home runs, two doubles and nine RBI.

Katie Attwood, Tuckahoe

Over three games, Preisser is hitting .857 with two doubles, eight RBI and four runs scored. She has struck out 29, while allowing two earned runs.
Janae Walker, Hendrick Hudson
Over three games, the senior was 6 for 10 with two home runs, two doubles and nine RBI.
