This week marks the return of the Kitsap Sun high school athlete of the week poll. Each week, readers can vote for the top performers all across the spring sports landscape, including baseball, softball, boys soccer, track and field, golf and girls tennis. Athletes are nominated by their respective coaches.
The poll will appear online each Wednesday and votes will be tallied through Friday at noon. The top male and female vote-getters will be declared spring athletes of the week.
This week's nominees, based on their performances during the week of March 17-22, are Bainbridge's Piland Cruz and Will Rohrbacher, Central Kitsap's Alex Berg, Kingston's Jack Butler, Harlow Heidel and Luke Whalen, Klahowya's Carson Moore, North Kitsap's Reese Anderson, Sebastian Moran and Matix Thorne, North Mason's Derek Dunham and Boston Stanley, Olympic's Bella Crowell, and South Kitsap's Isaac Benjamin and Tanner Rockafield.
We'll announce the winners this week after the poll closes on Friday.
