The Oregon high school boys wrestling state championships were held earlier this month and several Eugene-area wrestlers took home individual titles.

Now we want you to vote for the wrestler of the year. Vote at registerguard.com/sports. The poll will be open until 11 a.m. Saturday, March 29.

Vote: Who should be The Register Guard's girls wrestler of the year?

Here are the nominees in alphabetical order for Eugene-area boys wrestler player of the year:

Bryson Boyles, Pleasant Hill​


The sophomore defeated teammate Rangle Marquess in a 3-1 decision to win the 113-pound title at the 3A state tournament. Boyles won his first individual state title.

Lee Brainard, Oakridge​


The junior pinned Enterprise's Gunnar McDowell to secure the 190-pound title at the 2A/1A state tournament. Brainard won his first individual state title.

Brody Buzzard, Harrisburg​


The junior defeated Vale's Kase Schaffeld in a 13-2 major decision to win the 175-pound title at the 3A state tournament. Buzzard is now a three-time state champion, having previously won titles at 165 and 145.

Paul Clark, Lowell​


The senior pinned Union's Sam Platz to secure the 175-pound title at the 2A/1A state tournament. It marked Clark's first individual title after coming in third place in 2024.

Zane Clemmer, Elmira​


The senior took fourth place after being pinned by Corbett's Carl Orchard in the 285-pound bout at the 3A state tournament.

Jeffery Conklin, Cottage Grove​


The sophomore took third place after pinning North Marion's Henry Bankhead in the 132-pound bout at the 3A state tournament. Conklin finished fifth in 2024.

Harley Hardison, Lowell​


The senior defeated Grant Union's Taylor Parsons in a 13-4 major decision to win the 126-pound title at the 2A/1A state tournament. Hardison finished his high school career as a three-time state champion, having won two titles at 120 pounds and finishing second as a freshman at 106.

Lyosha Mitchell, Creswell​


Mitchell, a senior, took second place after being pinned by Burns' Kale Cornell in the 126-pound bout at the 3A state tournament.

Lukas Salas-Sanchez, Thurston​


Lukas, a freshman, won his first individual state title after he defeated Crater's Shane Smoker in a 9-5 decision at 106 pounds at the 5A state tournament.

Michael Salas-Sanchez, Thurston​


Michael, a sophomore, defeated Centennial's Aiden Welsick in a technical fall (5:23) to win the 113-pound title at the 5A state tournament. He is a two-time state champion, winning his first at 106.

Mason Stucky, Sheldon​


The junior took third after he pinned Sherwood's Grayson Fabrycki in the 150-pound bout at the 6A state tournament.

Kayden Tiller, Oakridge​


The senior pinned Lowell's Henry Coiner to secure the 150-pound title at the 2A/1A state tournament. Tiller won a title at 157 lbs. in 2024.

Rowdy Williams, Oakridge​


Williams, a freshman, pinned Culver's Carlos Fernandez to win the 138-pound title at the 2A/1A state tournament.
