The Oregon high school girls wrestling state championships wrapped up earlier this month and plenty of athletes from the Salem-Keizer area produced big performances at Veterans Memorial Coliseum.

Now we want you to vote for the wrestler of the year. Vote at statesmanjournal.com/sports. The poll will be open until 11 a.m. Saturday, March 29.

Here are the nominees for the top Salem-area girls wrestler for the 2024-25 season.

McKayla Bonham, Silverton​


Bonham entered the Class 6A/5A state championships as the No. 5 seed and orchestrated a big semifinal upset to reach the final before ultimately finishing as state runner-up.

Zoe Brewer, Willamina​


Willamina's standout senior captured her second consecutive state title when she won the Class 4A/3A/2A/1A f105-pound final by a 15-3 major decision.

Sarahi Chavez, McKay​


Chavez won her second consecutive state title this season, in did so in remarkable fashion. The McKay senior captured the 100-pound crown by second-round technical fall despite competing with a ruptured cruciate ligament in her knee.

Chloe Comerford, North Marion​


The North Marion senior was unseeded at the start of the Class 4A/3A/2A/1A state tournament but upset the form charts to finish as the runner-up at 140 pounds.

Marlina Martinez, McNary​


McNary's star sophomore built on her strong freshman campaign and won this year's Class 6A/5A 110 title by a third-round technical fall.

Ah Pymm McDaniel, Dallas​


The Dragons' standout senior closed out her decorated career by finishing as the Class 6A/5A state runner-up at 110 pounds.

Marissa McGinnis, Dallas​


As a sophomore, McGinnis finished as the Class 6A/5A state runner-up at 100 pounds. After entering this year's state tournament as the No. 5 seed, she upset the division's No. 2 seed in the semifinals.

Polly Olliff, Dallas​


Dallas' star senior etched her name in the OSAA record books this season by becoming just the 14th-ever girls wrestler in the state of Oregon to earn three state titles.

Oliff won this year's 115-pound championship by a 10-3 decision.

Jenna Rogers, Dallas​


The Dragons' junior finished as the Class 6A/5A state runner-up at 145 pounds after entering the tournament as the No. 2 seed.

Jennifer Soto, North Salem​


The North Salem senior captured her first-ever state title this season, winning the 235-pound final by fall.
