Why? You never heard his name (except once).

Pencil him in as starter from here on out...

Yeah, I was pleasantly surprised. Except for that first play from scrimmage here he got beat, he was pretty good.

When he got beat, he got beat clean and the guy wasn't hardly slowed down. But for the most part he played pretty well--especially considering it's his first action on that side of the ball.

I am going to go back on watch the tape but I do remember him being relentless (just as he was as a DE) and finishing his blocks for most of the night.

I also remember Big on one play...because of the cool camera angle, it almost looked like Gladiator or something like it, and Big was standing there absolutely mauling three guys. His first block, and two more dudes that got too close, lol. He is a very strong man.

He was one hell of an upgrade over Ross. No penalties and he held the pocket.... I echo the comments of the person who mentioned he leaves a little to be desired on the run blocking.

His long arms will be great in pass protection. His tall frame will not be great in run blocking. I would rather protect our QBs at this point since we have so much invested in our WR. Davis also had a good game. Did not here his number called for penalties. He stood up last night. He is the only one that might have scared the bulls.

Wakefield had 1 hold that I recall but yeah for a guy starting his first game on offense he held up quite well. Right now I'd give him a thumbs up I think Green made the right call switching him to offense.

pretty sure it was Walt several years ago saying Wakefield should be an OL.

He started the night off with a 15-yard penalty for punching a San Fran player after the play. But he regrouped and played solid as did the rest of the O-line.
