I wish Haley and Whiz would get a little more creative and use this set more on 3rd downs and even on some earlier downs. It has a number of possibilities using more of the personell and keeping D's more honest in not being able to blitz Kurt as much. I'd like to see Edge/Hightower/Arrington in at the same time and taking advantage of their multiple abilities more.

I really like an I formation with three wides. With our personel we'd run more effetively than out of your standard one back sets. Furthermore, T. Smith is better at what he does than our TEs are at what they do. It's all about getting your best players on the field.

Here is the thing: Isn't Boldin better in the slot than in the backfield? Isn't he unstoppable in the slot?

I am not sold on the pahookee Q in in the backfield gimmicky thing.

Boldin HAS to throw the ball in order for it to work. It's like running a play action but never actually running the ball from time to time.

How many passes has Q even completed? Isn't Warner better at throwing?

;)

More of the time, for sure. Plus, the 4 wide sets are too one dimensional and with the heat Warner has felt, not as effective as one would think they are.
I want to see more backfield diversity and yes Smith and even Castille should both be in the rotation. Castille can make catches and can be effective as well. Edge's year is not over yet either, I'd like to see him in more than two plays a game. Bottom line is there is too much talent back there to sit.

One back hasn't been that effective against good teams, Jets, Hawks, Giants, so why not!

I like Boldin in motion , in the slot. Him at RB is good for one or two plays , but I wouldn't make a habit out of it. They key on him and results have been very spotty from him in the bf.
Thanks. I am glad I am not the only one thinking this.

who cares? How many passes has Q completed in T H E N F L?

Using that logic, a rookie should never throw any passes in the NFL because he never completed any.

Check you PM. And are you saying that every bloke that plays QB in High School can succeed in the NFL?

Thanks!!

I think you make a good point.

In the game vs. the Giants the Cardinals were in a 3 or 4 WR set 85.6% of the time (55 plays), 55.4% (36 plays) were 4 WR sets. Conversely they employed a two RB set only 12.3% of the time (8 plays).

Of the eight plays with a 2 RB, 2 WR, 1 TE personell group half were pass plays, half runs (4 each). Thats only 4 running plays all game from a two RB set.

I don't know why the Cardinals even have a fullback on the roster, let alone two? Terrelle Smith is a quality blocking fullback, yet he barely sees the field.

Obviously, the Cardinals strength on offense is passing. But 52 passing attempts vs. 15 rushing is too lopsided.

Way too lopsided!

Here's the deal. Warner has had a very successful season UP TO NOW. But D's are adjusting to the Cardinals' attack more and more. They are going to come with ALOT MORE PRESSURE in those 3/4 wide sets giving Warner precious little time and further pressing him to cough up the football, which he has a propensity for doing.

On the road and starting in the playoffs the Cardinals need to lose more of their one dimensionality if they are to make any kinds of inroads towards winning said ROAD PLAYOFF GAMES and any road games from here on out.

Yes you play to your strengths, but opposing NFL co-ordinators have a way of preparing well for those strengths as well. We need more diversity and success at it as well, moving forward. If not Warner becomes the problem again and not the solution. JMHO.

I would llike to see more of Smith in the backfield. He is a better blocker than any TE we have. He punishes defenders with his blocks. Need more of that.
