Warner has had head injuries before. As part of the recent Associated Press league-wide survey, he said he had four concussions in his career, two “minor” ones in the NFL, one in the Arena Football League and one non-football related while he was in college.

As I recall, the first "minor" NFL one was week 17 against the Saints in 2000. Trent Green came in to finish the job, and the Rams got help to make the playoffs. Warner wasn't top-notch the next week, with 3 INTs to go with his 3 TDs, as the Rams fell to the Saints in the wild card round. He did get better as that game went on.

The second, I will never be convinced was minor. It was against the Giants in week 1 of 2003, his last start for the Rams. From early on he looked absolutely lost, and couldn't seem to get rid of the ball... except by fumbling it. He got the crap pounded out of him for four quarters, and got benched for good immediately afterwards.

This is purely from recollection, mind you.

You have a pretty good memory for both of those games and they only lost that saints playoff game because of a fumbled punt return as Warner had just was beyond on fire and had just drove the rams to 3 quick scores and had just enough time to get the winning score as the rams were getting the punt Az Hakim fumbled it back to the saints and game over.It was a done deal that Warner would have driven to a victory score in 2000,the year Faulk beat Warner out for the MVP by one vote with all the touchdowns he put up that year.

Warner was practically out on his feet in that game but played through it like no one I've ever seen and was on fire in the fourth quarter in the playoffs as he has ALWAYS been his whole NFL career. He was refusing to lose once again.

The giant game was totally on head coach Martz who hated losing SB 36.Did'nt give warner any help running 5 wide the whole game.Warner was pounded into the Meadowlands turf like no one before and kept getting up when he should have stayed down.

He was taken to a N.Y. hospital straightway after the game for head exams and he was made to stay overnight due to the severity of that concussion and Martz knew from the first quarter he was out on his feet yet kept him in the game to get tortured and I'll never forgive him to this day for what he did.

The team mainly started by the offensive line and Kyle Turley and Adam Timmerman started a major lockeroom mutiny and Bulger would get protection from then on out as a starter and never again did we see the high octane offense that Kurt Warner was known for in Louie.Martz was soon to follow out the door as we've seen every ram from the owner dying to the team president ALL THE STAFF from 25-40 years gone from their L.A. offices where they ran things and now every player that was in that lockeroom is gone except for marc bulger who is the highest paid ram in team history I think at 67 million for no return. Not even a playoff win.Plus marc tried to walk past Warner who tried to stop him in the hallway before the ram game Sunday.

They captured the film of it and it was plain to see Bulger wanted no pleasantries with Kurt Warner before the game. Why should he?He's never beat him yet except at the check cashing counter.I hope the rams move back to L.A. I'm sorry for the die hard louie ram fans who will I'm sure get another team if not from Jacksonville eventually. They deserve better anyway. The owner just wants to sell the team due to lack of money and not really enjoying football but hollywood. The other son from Rosenbloom who loved football with all his heart was cut out of the family by Madame ram when Carrol died.I'm sure he rolled over in his grave as he wanted that son to one day run the rams. Not her or the other two kids he had with her.Its a major shame. We'll never know what happened to Carrol when he was a professional swimmer yet drowned in a few feet of water?

Rothlesburger is gonna play this week and he was knocked silly.Warner continued to play till they scored and could have come back in at anytime during the game.He was more than ready to go on the sidelines as anyone who watched the game saw how ready he was.I think the hit should draw a fine as atogwe trapped Warners arm to his side and drove him into that fake turf with all of his weight to take him out of the game with all of his might.I have no doubt that film is already on its way to Goddells desk and a fine will follow.Yet Kurt shrugged it off and went back into the huddle.

If Big Ben is gonna play Sunday and the steelers are'nt bringing in another quarterback after losing Batch for arm surgery. Then I'm totally sure Kurt Warner will be in Nashville trying to get us a major victory as ROAD WARRIORS continue this years quest to go 8-0.I think they do it too.

Its all about getting Okeafor back and maintaining CONTAIN on that speedster Chris Johnson who I think is the most dangerous threat to score since gayle sayers if given a slight, slight hole. He's track speed after that on gliders.Every inside gap must be sealed and the bounceback outside move that DeAngelo Williams had a field day of success on us with must be stopped.Contain must be held till the whistle blows.

Please let Okeafor be ready to play this week. Our offense should be able to win this game for us.Just keep putting the points on the board.

We'll never know what happened to Carrol when he was a professional swimmer yet drowned in a few feet of water?

You have a great take on the NFL and obviously have an insider perspective. But I think you are better than this comment. Learn from the past, don't fixate on it.

I do find it interesting that Kurt and Eli have a better relationship than Kurt and Marc. How is Kurt's relationship with Trent?

Its by far the best of the three. No competition at all there.Thats why I like to hear Trent call our games and know its hard for him not to play favorites.

Forgive me for my comment if it offended you.

Warner has denied having a concussion that game and although he might have had his bell rung in the first half, he was just fine in the second half. Martz refusing to kick field goals twice when down by 10 and the o-line that had never played together had more to do with Warner's troubles that day than anything else.

I don't think a concussion has anything to do with the fumbles that day as he continually had problems with those '03-'06. I don't recall him having a concussion when he fumbled away the game against the Rams in '05.

Martz and Warner were in a pissin' contenst and there had been enough change on the roster that the locker room was at least split. A concussion that no one knew about until after the game was just coincidentally the opportunity for Martz to insert Bulger in the lineup for good. People seem to forget that Bulger was horrible in '03. I could see the precautionary excuse for week 2 that year but it was never about a concussion.

I don't really know about the "relationship' question. I've read various times that Warner and Bulger talk on the phone periodically so I assume they're on decent terms.

You might want to read this link:

Steve Rosenbloom said his father lived near the water for years, but was a poor swimmer and never swam alone.

Now, don't get me wrong. I think something was very wrong about the whole situation and I'd always heard that Carrol was a good swimmer but according to his son, that's not the case. I firmly believe his death was no accident but the strong swimmer aspect doesn't seem to be accurate. Georgia was a gold digger, married 7 times and in cahoots with the mob and her husband who liked to gamble just happens to mysteriously die? Smoke, fire, you know.

Excuse me but the last thing I'll say on the matter is that I saw every play of that game more than once and Warner had his worst concussion in his career in that game and Martz knew it,just like I said.Period....I've got 1000's that will back me up on this from Dumpmartz.com.

Sorry I don't have all the old information for you to check out.It may have some of it still there.Have'nt been to that site in years and years. It was documented down to the play.Yes the offensive line was in on it all the way.Yet took none of the blame and put it all on Warner and thats the last I'll mention it this year. You can talk forever on the subject but personally I'm done with the past and over it.I know what happened.I hate that others did'nt get the truth.

Have a nice day.Its not a good subject.None of it is.Karma and everything got em' all.Thats what I believe.

Like I said, I think Warner got his bell rung in the first half of that game but he has said that he didn't have a concussion. I am two hard drives removed from when I probably read it but I'll take his word on the subject before anyone else. I don't disagree with most of your thoughts on Martz and some agendas that were probably in effect that game but his benching and his fumbling had little to do with a concussion.
