Warren Buffett wants you to know that he is desperately trying to give away $1 million to someone in his Berkshire Hathaway challenge, but nobody can seem to get it.
Buffett issues a March Madness bracket challenge to all employees who work at Berkshire Hathaway companies. If you can put together a perfect bracket, Buffett will award you $1 million. The only problem is that perfect brackets don't exist. It's basically impossible to do. So, unfortunately, Warren has to keep his money.

Don't you just hate that? When you're trying to do a good thing but nobody can pull off the impossible thing you're asking them to do so you ultimately can't do the good thing? Sucks, man.
Don't worry, folks. Buffett is doing his best to make the challenge easier, according to Fortune.
This year, all employees have to do is pick 30 out of the 32 first-round matchups correctly and the $1 million can be theirs. If no one can pull that off, then a $250,000 prize will go to whoever picks the most winners through all 63 games in the tournament.
But, wait! There's more. If a lucky employee can guess every pick correctly through the Sweet 16, Buffett will give them $1 million for the rest of their life. They still won't be as rich as him, of course, but that's a lot of money! What a saint, that Warren Buffett.
Why is Buffett being so charitable here, you ask? Because he knows he's running short on time at the company.
“I’m getting older. I want to give away a million dollars to somebody while I’m still around as chairman," ” Buffett told the Wall Street Journal.
The man is 94 years old. It seems he's trying to give the money away before he retires — altruism at its finest.
Quick question, though. He is fully aware that he can just give the money away, right? Like, he doesn't have to dangle a carrot 500 feet in the air and tell his employees to jump for it? No big deal if he doesn't want to do it this way. Just food for thought.
But, hey, man. Maybe this is finally the year. Maybe someone does it. We'll see. Good luck giving that cash away, Buffett. You're going to need it.
