Plot Summary: Rising stars Tom Hardy and Joel Edgerton command the screen as two estranged brothers facing the fight of a lifetime in Lionsgate's "Warrior," a moving, inspirational action drama from acclaimed director Gavin O'Connor ("Miracle").

Haunted by a tragic past, Marine Tommy Conlon (Hardy) returns home for the first time in fourteen years to enlist the help of his father (Nick Nolte) to train for Sparta, the biggest winner-takes-all event in mixed martial arts history. A former wrestling prodigy, Tommy blazes a path toward the championship while his brother, Brendan (Edgerton), an ex-fighter-turned teacher, returns to the ring in a desperate bid to save his family from financial ruin. But when Brendan's unlikely, underdog rise sets him on a collision course with the unstoppable Tommy, the two brothers must finally confront each other and the forces that pulled them apart, facing off in the most soaring, soul stirring, and unforgettable climax that must be seen to be believed.

A rousing ode to redemption, reconciliation and the power of the human spirit, "Warrior" is also a moving testament to the enduring bonds of family.

SEE THIS MOVIE NOW

Seriously... how many times do i come on here and just GUSH about a new movie? See it TODAY before the hype gets out of control.

Wow.

Oh, and any and all fears that the new Batman movie might be a little weak because Bane is the main bad guy have VANISHED from my brain. Tom Hardy was great in Bronson, Inception and is just terrifying AND real in this movie. He will destroy TDKR.

Hardy is a superstar. This movie has been promoted awfully. I had no clue what this movie was and thought it was going to be some stupid MMA movie based on previews. Such a great movie. Go out and see it.

I forgot to add how incredible Nick Nolte was in this movie. Everyone was great in their parts but Nolte's is one that is most memorable.

Agree with everything in this thread, particularly the horrible promotion of the film. Only reason I saw it was because of what I read here. Was nice only having 3 other people in the theater but sucks how little love this film is getting.

Interesting. So everyone in this thread says it's amazing until Shane comes along and pukes all over it. Who the hell is Shane anyway? He's just some guy who throws rocks at people. I mean we have the Mulli smilie when in reality that should be called the Shane smilie. Mulli never threw rocks at me but Shane has.

Stupid Shane.

I didn't puke all over it.. Just said it was OK with some really good acting... It's just nothing new or fresh.. Just another feel good sports movie just using mma as its platform. Nothing special or iconic or great about it. It's worth a watch for sure. But great hardly describes it IMO.

Griffin just happens to agree. Thinks its cliche. Which I can see too.

Ya, how could you ever confuse a movie called the Warrior with a movie called the Fighter, which was true. :)

Tom Hardy, anytime, anyplace, anywhere, whatever you want to do, I am in. Good golly, I enjoyed watching him in this movie. MMA is totally not my thing but I enjoyed the family theme of this movie (and Tom Hardy's lips).
